Day 1 Arriving in Vancouver
Upon arrival in Vancouver, you will transfer to your downtown hotel (not included). Overnight Vancouver Day 2 Sightseeing in Vancouver A morning tour will introduce you to the many attractions of Vancouver with a visit to Gastown, Chinatown and Stanley Park. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the beautiful coastal city. Overnight Vancouver Day 3 Touring Victoria A tour to Victoria today includes a 1.5 hour ferry ride over to Vancouver Island, admission to Butchart Gardens, Victoria city centre, Chinatown and Beacon Hill Park. Overnight Victoria Day 4 Exploring Victoria Today is yours to explore the rest of Victoria. You may wish to have high tea at the Fairmont Empress, take a whale watching tour, explore the Royal British Columbia Museum or just stroll the picturesque Inner Harbour area. Overnight Victoria Day 5 Vancouver to Port Hardy Sightseeing This morning you will board a tour to Port Hardy. Along the way you will see Duncan "City of Totem Poles", Chemainus "City of Murals" and Coombs Deli (where goats graze on the roof). Your journey is enhanced by views of the Gulf Islands, vast farm lands, fishing villages and deep sea ports. Day 6 Arriving in Prince Rupert This morning, transfer by motorcoach to the BC Ferries Terminal (included), and embark on a full day of cruising the sheltered waters of the Inside Passage. After your nineteen-and-a-half-hour journey, you will be transferred by taxi to your hotel. Overnight Prince Rupert Day 7 Exploring Prince Rupert After a 1.5 hour cruise around Kaien Island, the rest of the day is yours to explore the quaint town of Prince Rupert, a bustling port town with cruise ship docks, ferries to Alaska, Port Hardy and the Queen Charlotte Islands as well as a starting point for VIA Rail's Skeena train. Overnight Prince Rupert Day 8 & 9 VIA Rail's 'Skeena' to Prince George and Jasper From waterways to railways ... a morning boarding of VIA Rail's 'Skeena' begins your discovery of northern British Columbia's forested landscape. Take advantage of the Skyline Car with its 360 degree views from the dome or the casual atmosphere of the lounge car below as the train gently weaves and winds its way to Prince George. The next morning, continue on your rail journey aboard the "Skeena." You may see bald eagles, black bears or moose from the windows of the train. Arriving into Jasper this afternoon, a transfer will be waiting to shuttle you to your hotel. Overnight Onboard VIA Rail Day 10 Jasper to Banff Sightseeing Today you will drive to Banff via Canada's most spectacular mountain highway - the Icefields Parkway. A ride on an all-terrain Ice Explorer on the surface of the Athabasca Glacier is your highlights today (April 15 - October 15). After a brief stop at Lake Louise, you will continue on to beautiful Banff for an early evening arrival. Overnight Banff Day 11 Discovering Banff This morning's excursion takes you through the alpine town of Banff and its environs. Visit the Cave & Basin National Historic Site and your final stop is at the Banff Gondola for a 360 degree look at Banff and the Bow Valley. Overnight Banff Day 12 Departing Calgary Transfer by scheduled airporter service to Calgary International Airport. THIS VACATION IS ALSO AVAILABLE FROM CALGARY
