This is truly a moveable feast! Travel Canada by luxury rail and motorcoach when you select this vacation of adventure and relaxation. Start with an exploration of Toronto, then recline on VIA Rail's 'Canadian' as the train rolls cross-country to the Canadian Rockies. You'll visit Jasper, Banff, and Lake Louise, three of the Rockies' best-known vacation spots. Sip and sample the best of Canada!
Day 1 Arriving in Toronto
Your vacation begins this evening at your selected hotel. The night is yours to enjoy the trendy shops and dining, all in close proximity to your accommodation. Overnight Toronto. Day 2 & 3 VIA Rail's 'Canadian' from Toronto to Jasper Transfer on your own to Union Station and depart Toronto this morning on VIA Rail's 'Silver & Blue' class (meals included). Access to the dining car, lounge car, games car, and sightseeing dome car are available to you throughout your train journey. Travel through the rugged forests and rocky plains of Northern Ontario to Winnipeg and the central Manitoba prairies. (Meals included onboard). Overnight aboard VIA Rail. Day 4 Arriving in Jasper Today you will complete the final leg of your vacation to Jasper, by traveling through Edmonton towards the majestic Rocky Mountains. (Breakfast and lunch included). Arrive in Jasper in the late afternoon and transfer (included) to your hotel. Overnight Jasper. Day 5 Exploring Jasper This morning you will take a Discover Jasper excursion including scenic and historic highlights such as Medicine Lake and Maligne Canyon. Continue on to Maligne Lake for a 90 minute boat tour (seasonal*) including a photo opportunity of the ideal postcard setting surrounding Spirit Island. Overnight Jasper. Day 6 Jasper to Lake Louise Sightseeing A full day excursion to Lake Louise along the famous Icefields Parkway includes an Ice Explorer ride at the Columbia Icefield. Overnight Lake Louise. Day 7 Explore Lake Louise and Banff The morning is yours to stroll the lakeshore trails of Lake Louise or hike up to the Lake Agnes Tea House. In the afternoon tour to Emerald Lake, the Yoho Valley and the Kicking Horse Pass (seasonal*) en route to Banff. Overnight Banff. Day 8 Discovering Banff Take the morning 'Discover Banff' excursion including a visit to the Cave & Basin National Historic Site. Your final stop will be at the Banff Gondola for a ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain. The afternoon is yours to relax and explore the many unique shops and restaurants of Banff. Overnight Banff. Day 9 Departing Calgary A morning or afternoon transfer to Calgary International Airport or Calgary city centre completes your Taste of Canada vacation. Overnight Lac Le Jeune. This vacation is available in reverse, starting from Calgary. *When day tours or attractions are not operational in the off-season, the price will be adjusted or there will an alternative excursion/attraction made available.
Choose any Monday, Wednesday or Friday between the following date ranges as your vacation start date. Deluxe: An outstanding property offering high standards of accommodations and facilities. It is important to note though, that Deluxe accommodation refers only to the Hotel Class and not to the room category included in the package price. Some Deluxe hotels are heritage properties that possess historical elegance, but may not reflect current North American deluxe hotel standards. Room upgrades may be available at an additional cost. Moderate: A property that offers limited hotel facilities and North American standard room features such as a television, telephone, one or two beds, private washroom with shower and/or bathtub (unless otherwise noted). Rooms may be smaller than Deluxe hotel rooms and the public areas may be also be smaller and simpler. Usually suitable for the cost-conscious traveller. |
