Toronto is a Huron Indian name for "meeting place' - appropriate as there are more than 100 cultures represented in the 2.3 million population of Canada's largest city. This diversity is reflected in its many festivals, friendly neighbourhoods and over 5000 restaurants. Toronto also boasts great musical, theatre and sporting entertainment, modern glass towers nestled next to historic architecture and a spectacular waterfront. Dine in specialty restaurants near Kensington Market, shop Yorkville's exclusive boutiques and catch a Jays, Raptors or Maple Leaf game. Visit the Toronto Zoo, Ontario Science Centre or any number of museums and galleries. Toronto's spectrum is wide and ever-changing - there is always something happening!
